How Many Packs Should I Order for the Whole Class?

One pack contains 30 pieces. So for a class of 25 kids, one pack is enough if each child gets one leaf, with five to spare. If each child is to make a whole arrangement from five leaves, plan on one pack per six kids – that's four to five packs per class.

Tips for Working with Felt

Working with felt is different from working with paper or wood. Here are four things worth knowing in advance.

Herkules for paper, a hot glue gun for wreaths. Liquid glue is ideal for flat surfaces, and even little kids can handle it on their own. But it doesn't penetrate straw or moss as well – for those, reach for a hot glue gun.

Felt doesn't fray, so feel free to cut it. If you need an even smaller shape or a narrower leaf, just trim it – the cut edge won't fray like fabric.

Thread without punching holes. An ordinary needle and thread go through felt on the first try. No drilling or hole punch needed – a big advantage when crafting with younger kids.

Layer the sizes. Glue a small leaf onto a larger one from the 54–112 mm pack and the decoration instantly gains depth. It works best when the bottom leaf is a darker shade.
