A kit for making a witch on a stick that you can stick into a flower pot, planter box or vase. The pack contains a spun cotton head with a printed face, an orange-and-black pipe cleaner for hair, black wire for arms, orange jute for the skirt, a broom die-cut and two sticks. Nothing needs to be colored – you just assemble and glue. Glue is not included.
Meet the Gang
Uršula Wears Halloween Colors
An orange skirt, black hands and a mane on her head as if she'd just flown down a chimney. Her face is printed, so nobody has to draw anything. But the hairstyle is up to you. You can smooth the hair down a bit or leave it sticking out in every direction.
She doesn't have to be alone. Zubejda, Ohnimůra and Hrombula are made the same way, each in different colors. With four of them, it's a real witches' gathering.
Step-by-Step Instructions
From a Stick to a Finished Witch
Here are the steps in brief. You'll find instructions with a photo for every step on our blog.
1
Arms. Fold the black pipe cleaner in half and wrap it around the longer stick. Leave both ends the same length and twist them into arms – the wire holds its shape on its own.
2
Head. Drip a little glue onto the tip of the stick and set the head on it.
3
Skirt. Fold the orange jute in half, pull the stick through its middle and glue the jute under the arms. Then tousle the edges with your fingers so the skirt isn't stiff as a board.
4
Hair. Coat the top of the head with glue and press on the orange-and-black pipe cleaner. A hot glue gun grips instantly. Duvilax or Herkules work too, just hold the hair firmly for a few minutes.
5
Broom. Glue the broom die-cut onto the shorter stick, push it under the skirt and wrap the arms around it. If anything comes loose over time, just glue it back on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I use to glue the hair so it stays?
A hot glue gun is the fastest – it bonds instantly. With kids, Duvilax or Herkules is safer. They hold too, you just have to hold the hair in place for a few minutes after gluing. Any of them can handle the head, skirt and broom.
Can a preschooler do it?
With a little help, yes. Even a three-year-old can wrap the wire around the stick and put on the head. Take care of the gluing and the broom yourself. Older kids can make the witch on their own, but use the hot glue gun only under supervision.
Are there instructions with photos somewhere?
Yes, on our blog in the article Witch – Flower Pot Pick. There's a photo for every step, so you can see right away what everything should look like.
Is Uršula better for Halloween or for Witches' Night?
Both. Thanks to its orange and black, it fits right in with fall pumpkins, but at the end of April it's just as much fun at a Witches' Night celebration.
We're ordering for a whole class. Can we pay by invoice?
Yes. We issue invoices with payment terms to preschools, schools, municipalities and organizations – just enter the organization's name and its registration or tax ID number when you order. Plan on one set per child. If you add the other three witches too, the kids won't fight over one color.
