Witch Zubejda with a Messy Mane and Teeth on Display
A kit for making a witch on a stick that you can stick into a flower pot or vase. The pack contains a spun cotton head with a printed face, a multicolor pipe cleaner for hair, black wire for arms, purple jute for the skirt, a broom die-cut and two sticks. Nothing needs to be colored – you just assemble and glue. Glue is not included.
Meet the Gang
Each of Our Witches Has Her Own Name and Personality
Zubejda is the one who's always grinning and showing her little teeth. She never combs her hair and wears her purple skirt on principle. Her face is printed, so nobody has to draw anything, and yet every Zubejda will be a little different depending on how you fluff up her hair.
She doesn't have to be alone. Using the same steps, you can make her friends Ohnimůra, Uršula and Hrombula, and then you'll have a whole witches' gathering in the flower pot.
Step-by-Step Instructions
How to Do It
A shortened version. You'll find detailed instructions with a photo for every step on our blog.
1
Arms. Fold the black pipe cleaner in half and wrap it around the longer stick. Leave the ends the same length and twist them into arms – the wire holds its shape on its own.
2
Head. Drip a little glue onto the tip of the stick and set the spun cotton head on it.
3
Skirt. Fold the purple jute in half, push the stick through its middle and glue it under the arms. Finally, fluff up the folds with your hands.
4
Hair. Apply glue to the top of the head and press on the multicolor pipe cleaner. A hot glue gun holds best. Duvilax works too, you just have to hold the hair firmly in place for a few minutes.
5
Broom. Glue the broom die-cut onto the shorter stick, thread it under the skirt and wrap the arms around the handle. If the hair or broom comes loose over time, just glue it back on.
Three Ideas for Using It
Where to Stick Zubejda
Thanks to the stick, you can push it in anywhere there's soil, foam or a plant.
For a Flower Pot
Among the herbs on the windowsill or next to fall chrysanthemums. As if Zubejda were guarding her little garden.
For Witches' Night
It works for Halloween in the fall and at the end of April too. At preschool, every child makes their own witch for the celebration.
As a Small Gift
Tucked into a bouquet or a gift package. A funny little gesture for anyone with a sense of humor.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Which glue works best?
For the hair, a hot glue gun holds best – it bonds instantly. With kids, Duvilax or Herkules is safer – they hold just as well, but you have to hold the hair firmly for a few minutes after gluing. For the head, skirt and broom, any of them will do.
Can a child do it alone?
It depends on age. Three- to five-year-olds can wrap the wire around the stick and put on the head; help them with the gluing. Six- to eight-year-olds can do most of it on their own and mainly need help with the broom. From age nine, they can make the whole witch on their own – but use the hot glue gun only under supervision.
Where can I find detailed instructions?
On our blog in the article Witch – Flower Pot Pick. Every step has its own photo, so you'll see exactly what everything should look like.
Is it suitable for preschool or a club?
Yes, plan on one set per child. So the kids don't fight over one character, you can add Ohnimůra, Uršula and Hrombula to Zubejda. With kids, we recommend craft glue such as Duvilax or Herkules instead of a hot glue gun. We issue invoices with payment terms to preschools, schools, municipalities and organizations – just enter the organization's name and its registration or tax ID number when you order.
