Meet the Gang
A Bearded St. Nicholas and a Devil Sticking Out His Tongue
Just like on December 5 at your door. St. Nicholas in a jute miter with a white beard and a crosier, the angel with curly hair and red wings, and the devil with little horns, a pitchfork and a patch on his fur. The faces are printed, so nobody has to draw anything, and even younger kids end up with a trio that really turns out well.
The jute gives them a natural look. They go well with evergreen branches, pine cones and candles, and they don't look like plastic toys on the Advent table.

Step-by-Step Instructions
From a Spun Cotton Cylinder to a Finished Trio
In brief, as a reminder. Everything is clearly shown in the video above.
1
Bodies. Wrap each spun cotton cylinder in jute and glue it in place. Leave the seam at the back, where it won't be seen.
2
Heads. Glue them on top of the bodies. You'll know right away from the faces which one belongs to whom.
3
Angel. Make curly hair from white pipe cleaner, glue a halo made of red pipe cleaner above it and the wings on the back.
4
St. Nicholas. Roll the jute piece into a miter, glue a cross onto it and place it on his head. Wrap white pipe cleaner around the face as a beard and shape a crosier from the red one.
5
Devil. Glue on the black pipe cleaner as messy hair and put the little horns into it. Add the pitchfork, a little tail made of red pipe cleaner and the patch. If the jute comes loose somewhere, just add a drop of glue and hold it for a moment.
Three Ideas for Using It
What to Do with the Finished Trio
The figures stand on their own, so you can put them anywhere.
For a St. Nicholas Day Treat Bag
Among the tangerines and gingerbread. The sweets get eaten; the craft stays for another afternoon.
For Crafting at Preschool
A week before St. Nicholas Day, so the kids can prepare for the visit. Those who make their own devil are a little less afraid of him.
For the Advent Table
For a wreath, among evergreen branches and pine cones. But don't place them too close to candles – jute and spun cotton are flammable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the set include all three figures?
Yes. One pack is the whole trio: St. Nicholas, the Angel and the Devil, each with its own head and accessories. All you need to buy separately is glue.
Can a preschool child do it?
With a little help, yes. They can wrap the cylinder in jute, put on the head and shape the wire on their own. Help them with the miter and gluing the small parts. Leave the hot glue gun to the adults.
Won't a young child be afraid of the devil?
Quite the opposite. The devil smiles and sticks out his tongue, so he'll make even those who hide behind Mom on December 5 laugh. Making your own devil helps shrink the fear a little.
Will the figures last for another year?
Yes, if you store them in a box in a dry place after Christmas. If something comes loose, you can glue it back in a minute.
We're ordering for a whole preschool. Can we pay by invoice?
Yes. We issue invoices with payment terms to preschools, schools, municipalities and organizations – just enter the organization's name and its registration or tax ID number when you order. Plan on one set per child. Before St. Nicholas Day, order well in advance so you have the sets in time.
