A hanging decoration made of 3 mm poplar plywood. We ship it unpainted and unglued: a moon and 4 bats. Glue two bats onto the moon and hang two from a string beneath it. The clouds and bat outlines are pre-engraved on the moon. String is included in the pack – approx. 2 meters.
Engraved Outlines
The Moon Shows You What Goes Where
You don't have to draw the clouds – their lines are engraved on the moon. Just color inside the outline. Even a beginner has nothing to worry about.
Likewise, the two bat outlines show exactly where to glue them. No measuring, no “a little more to the left.” The bat fits into its outline and you're done.
Step-by-Step Instructions
How to Do It
As with most of our products: paint first, then glue.
1
Color the moon. Lay down newspaper, paint the moon first and then the clouds along the engraved lines. You can leave the areas inside the bat outlines unpainted – they'll be covered anyway.
2
Color the bats. Paint the two that will hang on both sides – they turn on the string. Give watercolors a quarter of an hour to dry, acrylics preferably half an hour.
3
Glue two bats into the outlines. Once everything is dry, apply a thin layer of Herkules to a bat and press it into its outline. If glue oozes out, wipe it off with a slightly damp cloth – it turns clear when dry.
4
Hang it up. Thread a string through the top hole in the moon for hanging. Tie strings with the remaining bats to the two bottom holes – each at a different length, if you like.
Three Ideas for Using It
Where to Hang the Garland
The hanging bats move a little with every draft, so the garland never looks quite the same.
For the Front Door
Instead of a wreath, as a beautiful Halloween decoration.
On the Wall Instead of a Picture
At 27 cm wide, it fills an empty spot above a dresser or in the hallway. In the fall, swap it in for a picture, and after the holidays swap it back.
For the Window
Hung on a curtain rod or a door handle. The hanging bats sway nicely in the window.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Is string included in the pack?
Yes, jute twine (2 meters) is included in the pack.
How do I know where to glue the bats?
Two bat outlines are engraved on the moon. Just place a bat into the outline and glue it on. Hang the remaining two bats on string from the bottom holes.
Should I paint first or glue first?
Paint first. Color the moon and all the bats separately, let them dry and only then glue. That way you can paint the clouds under the bat right up to the edge of the outline.
Is it suitable for preschool or a club?
Yes, plan on one garland per child. Thanks to the engraved lines, even younger kids can color the clouds. Gluing and tying the strings is best left to an adult or to the next day, once the paint is dry. We issue invoices with payment terms to preschools, schools, municipalities and organizations – just enter the organization's name and its registration or tax ID number when you order.
